Next Up: Blu & Exile

Newcomer MC Blu and producer Exile dropped hands down one of the best hip hop albums of last year, yet many people may have slept. Titled “Below the Heavens”, their album is produced by Exile wonderfully, mixing soulful samples with excellent beat chops, and Blu the emcee is second to none. He’s an rapper for everyman, penning lines that the average person can relate to rather than hustle-based club rap seen so often in mainstream rap today. They’ve recently released a video for the single “Blu Collar Worker” posted below. I also posted a link to d/l the track if you dig it.

  1. Yo that album is SERIOUSLY slept on it’s soo hot though. Props for posting about them, albeit delayed, but the album titled track, Below the Heavens is sooo good. Alright
